Steve Silver, CPA

Areas of Expertise:

As a tax partner, Steve provides clients and other staff members with an understanding of key tax issues developed from his more than 15 years of experience in federal and state individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax experience. Steve works with the other FGMK partners to develop and implement creative tax strategies for high net-worth families, real estate ventures and corporate acquisitions. Steve also has significant experience with estate planning, multi-state and sales tax issues as well as representing clients during federal and state tax audits.

Background:

Steve began his career in 1992 working for Topel Forman, a local accounting firm, and gathered experience from several firms in Chicago. Steve attained the position of Tax Supervisor at Warady & Davis in Deerfield before joining FGMK, LLC in September, 2001. He was promoted to tax manager in June of 2003 and has since been promoted to tax partner, effective January, 2007.

Education:

B.A., Economics, with an emphasis in Taxation, University of Illinois, 1991
Currently enrolled in M.S.T. program at Northern Illinois University
