Anthony M. Mentz, CPA

Areas of Expertise:
The core of Anthony's expertise is in the accounting, taxation and strategic planning for healthcare payers and providers. His broad healthcare background allows him to approach a wide variety of issues from many perspectives. He has experience in financial statement audits, reviews, compilations, mergers and acquisitions, practice valuations, forecasts and projections, physician billing, as well as the design and implementation of physician compensation formulas, feasibility studies and practice management analyses.
Industries Served:
Anthony spends the majority of his time working with our healthcare clients. This includes working with physician practices, managed care organizations, as well as hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers and other facilities. Outside of healthcare, he also provides services to manufacturing, technology, and services organizations.
Background:
Anthony began his career at Ernst and Young in their tax department where he specialized in the banking and thrift industries. He was exposed to many other areas including insurance and personal taxation. He left Ernst and spent several years as a manager in Aon Corporation's tax department where he further focused on the insurance business, including both domestic and international tax issues and strategic planning. In 1996, Anthony joined a local health care accounting and consulting firm where he specialized in the accounting, taxation and strategic planning for health care providers, both physicians and facilities. Prior to joining FGMK in 2004, Anthony spent four years as the Chief Financial Officer of a $23 million, independent physician association specializing in managed care.
