Lew has helped his clients identify tax-savings strategies for over 25 years. He identifies the most tax-efficient approach for new projects, structures real-estate transactions to take advantage of the like-kind exchange regulations, and implements strategies to preserve capital gains. He is experienced in cost segregation studies that carve out the maximum depreciation deductions for buildings. From lease design to bank financing, he is experienced in reviewing and analyzing their industry-specific business issues and then working with clients to create new processes to speed growth and maximize after-tax income.

Background:

Lew began his career with a national CPA firm in their audit department and a after two years he moved to the tax department where he progressed through the firm from Senior to Manager. Nine years later Lew left to join a Peoria, Illinois firm as Partner where he developed his expertise in real estate and furthered his experience in all facets of taxation. In December 2003, he returned to the Chicago area to join FGMK, LLC as a Partner.
