Andrew specializes in operational, reimbursement, and regulatory issues for health care providers across the continuum of care. He also uses his in-depth industry knowledge, analytical problem-solving skills, and management experience to offer for-profit and not-for-profit providers throughout the country consulting services, valuation services, as well as turnaround consulting services for troubled properties. His extensive expertise in the healthcare market also includes assisting organizations with repositions, buy-sell agreements, and operational systems analysis. Andrew is an expert in Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement systems and he counsels clients on fraud and abuse, regulatory compliance, healthcare accounting and contract negotiations.
Industry Focus:
Health Care and Not-For-Profit entities including the senior care market, skilled nursing facilities (SNF), continuing care retirement communities (CCRC), assisted living facilities, supportive living facilities, ambulatory surgical centers (ASC’s), pharmacies, ambulance companies, and physician practices.
Background:
Prior to joining FGMK, Andrew was a Partner in the healthcare group at Frost, Ruttenberg & Rothblatt, P.C. While there he provided aid in the defense of healthcare providers accused of healthcare fraud by the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) and identified and uncovered internal fraud committed by employees of healthcare clients. Andrew is frequently engaged to provide services on behalf of legal counsel to ensure client privilege.
Andrew is a regular lecturer on reimbursement and regulatory changes, operational management strategies and profit and loss issues. As a sought-after source for industry publications, he has authored articles for numerous trade magazines and journals. Andrew continues to work with industry leaders to bring his clients the most current operational initiatives available in the continually changing healthcare industry. He is a past member of the Board of Directors of a foundation that provides housing and care related programs to indigent persons and serves on the Administration/Finance and Operations Committee of the Illinois Health Care Association.
