Problem: No CFO

Solution: The CFO of a healthcare unit unexpectedly left. Our task was two-fold 1) to assess the current situation to determine what had occurred and 2) to act as interim CFO. During this time we established tighter controls and developed procedures and policies for smooth operation and ultimate transition to a permanent CFO.

Problem: Manual systems

Solution: Despite the fact that they had access to accounting software, the client staff typed each check on a typewriter. We trained them on the software and automated other processes as well.
